The Detroit Pistons spent the majority of the 1980s as one of the most notorious teams in basketball, known as the "Bad Boys" for their extremely physical and defensive style of play. They played basketball very different from the rest of the league, but it worked. With Dennis Rodman, John Salley, Rick Mahorn, Joe Dumars, and more, the Pistons became a playoff contending team, and, eventually, went all the way in both 1989 and 1990, winning two consecutive NBA championships. In 1991, the Pistons were going for their third title but were outed by Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals. This vintage Pistons tee, lightly worn in great condition, is from that hopeful year when they were going for their 3peat, the hard way.
