DJ Premier and Guru had only began collaborating two years prior, but they both relocated to Brooklyn to focus on their music and began making some of the best and most respected hip hop in the history of the genre. Step In The Arena charted at #19 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Charts and broke into the Top 200 at 120. And while it maybe it didn't receive the critical acclaim that some other records and artists had from that era, it was certainly regarded by true fans as one of the most impressive albums ever, still is.
