Free Spirit "Be Yourself" Baby Blue T-Shirt

Notify me when this product is available:

Free Spirit was a hardcore band from Boston, MA formed in 2008. The band played a fast style of hardcore influenced by Straight Ahead but with a modern context influenced by bands on Lockin' Out like Mental. They released their demo in 2008 and  began playing shows in New England and beyond with other members of the New Scene, the name for the bands in Boston around that era like Waste Management, No Tolerance, the Rival Mob, and so on. After solidifying their lineup, they released their only 7", Free Yourself on Lockin' Out and Triple B in 2010 and had the first rack on the debut America's Hardcore compilation that same year. The band was working on new material and playing out frequently but eventually called it quits in 2012. Members went on to play in such bands as Intent, Big Contest, Ammunation, and more. This Free Spirit shirt features an illustration by the band's drummer, Ken Fontaine. The design pays homage to Token Entry and features an illustration of an earlier iteration of the ban, before Ryan Hudon was replaced by Doug Free. This original Free Spirit shirt has light wear and marks.
